MassageFind ("we", "us") operates a directory of independent massage therapists in South Africa. This policy explains what personal information we collect and how we handle it, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
1. Responsible party
The responsible party for personal information processed via this site is the operator of MassageFind. Contact: xqzit1@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
- Provider listings: name, phone number, email, location, services, photos, and any details a provider chooses to publish.
- Authentication: phone number and one-time codes used to verify provider accounts.
- Site usage: standard server logs (IP address, user agent, requested pages) for security and analytics.
3. How we use it
- To display public provider profiles to potential clients.
- To authenticate providers signing in to their dashboard.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us operate the site (hosting, database, SMS delivery), under appropriate confidentiality terms. Booking enquiries sent via WhatsApp are handled directly between you and the provider — we do not intermediate that conversation.
5. Retention
We keep provider information for as long as the listing is active, plus a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping. One-time authentication codes are stored briefly and then deleted.
6. Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your information.
- Object to processing in certain circumstances.
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za).
